How to choose between these
These tools are not equally recommended and they do not do the same job. Work down these questions before you look at the table — the answer is usually decided by your situation, not by the software.
- Does it have to live inside HighLevel?
- Task Engine connects natively. Make (connects via make or zapier), GHL Growth Tools (connects via api) sit alongside it, which means another surface for your team to learn.
- How much setup time can you absorb this month?
- Task Engine is the shortest path — simple — set up in an afternoon. Make pays off later but needs a proper build, so do not start it in a busy week.
- Which limitation would actually hurt you?
- Read the limitations row before the strengths row. In practice the tool you keep is the one whose weak spot does not touch how you work — not the one with the longest feature list.
- Is one of these the default choice?
